The Roadmap for the Decarbonization of the Plastics Industry (RDIP) is entering its final phase and invites the entire business, technical, and institutional community to participate in the Public Closing Session and Presentation of Results, which will take place on December 11, 2025, between 10:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., at the APIP Delegation in Oliveira de Azeméis, located in the Business Center of Ul – Loureiro Business Reception Area.
This will be a decisive moment to present the conclusions of the collaborative work involving companies, experts, public entities, and technology partners, developed throughout the project, which defined a set of measures, technologies, and fundamental skills to accelerate the decarbonization of the plastics sector in Portugal.
A program designed for the future of the industry
The session includes several moments of debate and sharing, with emphasis on:
- Official presentation of the RDIP results
- Three thematic round tables, dedicated to:
- Challenges in implementing the roadmap measures
- Most promising technologies for decarbonization in the short, medium, and long term
- Preparing the plastics industry for this strategic challenge
- Technical presentations on technologies and skills essential for climate transition
- Networking opportunities and exchange of experiences among participants
